  For tomatoes, you need to stake plants, however, for the price, these will rust and break.

  The grow box produces large strong tomatoes that need substantial staking.
  I used this staking with the following results: 1) the sun broke down the fittings that held the rods together and my tomatoes fell to the ground. the rods are strong, but the plastic splicers and fittings need a lot of work. I would not waste my money on this staking method unless you want your plants on the ground.
